Hear from Mayor Levine Cava as she shares insights on county initiatives, economic development, and the opportunities and challenges facing Miami-Dade County. This luncheon offers an opportunity for business owners, professionals, and community leaders to engage with county leadership and stay informed on matters impacting our local business community.
The luncheon will also provide an opportunity to connect and network with fellow Chamber members, local business leaders, and community partners.
Meet Our Guest Speaker
Daniella Levine Cava Mayor of Miami-Dade County
Daniella Levine Cava made history in November 2020 when she became the first woman elected Mayor of Miami-Dade County and was subsequently re-elected in August 2024. With more than four decades of experience in public service, nonprofit leadership, and community advocacy, she brings an extensive background in addressing the needs of South Florida residents and businesses.
As Mayor, she oversees one of the nation’s largest county governments, serving nearly three million residents. Her administration’s priorities include economic development, supporting small businesses, expanding affordable housing, improving transportation and infrastructure, and strengthening the county’s resilience.
Prior to becoming Mayor, Levine Cava served as Miami-Dade County Commissioner for District 8 from 2014 to 2020. She also founded Catalyst Miami, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families achieve economic stability and greater civic engagement. Her professional background includes work as a social worker, attorney, and community advocate.
Mayor Levine Cava earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University and graduate degrees in law and social work from Columbia University. Throughout her career, she has worked with community organizations, residents, and local institutions on initiatives addressing economic opportunity and quality of life throughout Miami-Dade County.
